Guide Falls Farm

Welcome to Guide Falls Farm. Nestled just above the gorgeous Guide Falls on the North West Coast of Tasmania is where you will find Guide Falls Farm. Set on a large acreage, come along and wander through the native gardens and feed the growing family of animals.
Bring the family and your friends and come for a tour of the animal park. Buy a bucket of feed and hand feed Edward the emu, Andy the horse, as well as goats, rabbits, pigs, sheep, peacocks, deer, chickens and alpaca (just to name a few). We have giant rainbow trout in our trout ponds which feed like piranha! The kids will love our baby animal nursery.
You can also bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon in the sun. We host regular food and music events and sell farm fresh produce direct from our farm shop.
Please see our website or facebook page for current opening times.
We look forward to welcoming you onto the farm soon.

Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden

The Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden is a stunning garden in north-west Tasmania. The 11-hectare garden is located 8km south of Burnie, off the Ridgley Highway and features over 23,000 selected rhododendrons and companion plants, creating a spectacular display between late August and January. Colourful foliage in April makes it a good time to visit too. In addition to the hybrid rhododendrons familiar to gardeners, you can see many wild species of rhododendrons planted to reflect their geographical origins - from Asia, across the Himalayas to China, Japan and North America.
You can take a number of walks through the garden to enjoy the plants and tranquillity of this lush environment. Platypus, echidna, and diverse bird life are routinely sighted in amongst the gazebos, bridges, waterways, and the fountain.
The Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden is a partner garden of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. The tea room is open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays during August and December through till April. Open every day during peak flowering months of September, October and November. The tearoom is closed from May to end of July.
