Kooyoora State Park


With magnificent views and a rich variety of plants and animals, Kooryoora State Park is an ideal place for picnics, sightseeing, rock climbing, orienteering and nature study. Visit the Melville Caves, huge granite boulders thought to have been once used as a hideout for the bushranger 'Captain Melville'.

Coach House Art Gallery and Museum


The Coach House Art Gallery and Museum complex is situated in the main street of Wedderburn, on the Calder Highway approximately half way between Melbourne and Mildura.

The Museum offers a step back in time to a General Store which was built in 1913 as an upgrade to the then existing store which was built in the 1840's, also to see are some old carriages and a blacksmiths shop.

The Gallery has exhibitions which feature mostly local artists. The exhibitions change on a four to five week time table.

Eucalyptus Distillery Museum


Inglewood Eucalyptus Distillery site offers a unique attraction set at the historic Jones Eucalyptus Distillery, providing an interactive experience that highlights the importance of the eucalyptus industry to the district.

The museum highlights Eucalyptus Polybractea, or the "blue eucy", and links the history and archaeology of how eucalyptus was and is now distilled to our area.

Located on the northern side of Inglewood, the museum is some 45 kilometres west of Bendigo and two hours from the centre of Melbourne. The Museum, which commenced in July 2011, is now open Thursday to Monday, 10:00am - 4:00 pm, with free Wi-Fi, toilets on site as well as a car park, a kiosk and a gift shop that sells a comprehensive range of natural eucalyptus oil and natural healthy eucalyptus based products.

The museum has an increasing collection of eucalyptus history, art works and working model distillery.

This is an ideal day trip, located in the historic gold township of Inglewood, which now features an increasing range of antiques and collectables.

Fusspots At Inglewood


Fusspots At Inglewood is a licensed second hand store selling a range of old wares, antiques and collectables.

Items range from antique to vintage, furniture and furnishings, ceramics and glass, books, records, jewellery, kitchenalia and homewares, toys, curios, postcards and paintings and more tins than you can poke a stick at.

Fusspots At Inglewood is located in the 1860 Nixon Bros. Store where the lacquered, gleaming old floorboards are much admired (opposite Champion's IGA at the northern end of town). The Allan Nixon Grocery and Hardware Store Museum is also located here and is well worth a visit at no charge.

With its great selection of second hand and old wares stores the historic precinct of Brooke Street Inglewood in country Victoria has become a notable destination for collectors and shoppers alike.

Minelab Wedderburn Detector Jamboree


The Minelab Wedderburn Detector Jamboree is an annual two day event introducing gold panning and detector demonstrations. Bring along the family for a fun filled prospecting weekend and participate in all the activities to do with detecting and gold panning. Major gold detector draws, and many lucky draw prizes up for grabs.

The weekend activities include Monster town garage sales on Saturday, the Coach House gallery and Museum - open both days, token hunt, detector demonstrations, seniors gold panning knockout, variety of stalls, local attractions, Saturday night entertainment and tea and the Wedderburn Community House Op-shop open Saturday 10:00am to 3:30pm.

Loddon Visitor Information Centre


Come to the Loddon Visitor Information Centre, it is in a region where families are valued, breathe in the fresh air, sit around campfires, sip award winning wines or watch sunrises and sunsets.

The Loddon Tourism Area is situated adjacent to the City of Greater Bendigo and forms part of the Goldfields and the Murray tourism regions. Covering an area of 6,700 square kilometres, and containing attractions varying from Aboriginal sites to early European settlements, goldfields, lakes, State and National Parks, and nature reserves.

The region is mainly unspoilt and can offer visitors an experience in unhurried holidaying whether this is for an extended stay or a brief visit. The towns still bear authentic streetscapes from the gold rush era and the State Parks are still in their natural state.

The Loddon Tourism Area can offer a base for visiting large areas of Central and Northern Victoria, and can be easily reached by road from Melbourne, Bendigo or Mildura via the Calder Highway, or from Echuca and the other Murray River towns via the Loddon Valley Highway.
