Koomba Park

Koomba Park consists of billabongs and lakes fed by the Dandenong Creek. The bird hide provides a perfect way to observe birds in the natural habitat.

The trail network through Koomba Park incorporates both the Dandenong Creek Trail which branches off to a pretty boardwalk section and the Eastlink Trail that continues on to follow the Eastlink Freeway.

Caribbean Gardens and Market

Young, old, or somewhere in-between - Carribean Gardens and Market have managed to cater for everyone. You can shop, have lunch, stroll around the lake, watch the kids on the rides and playground or perhaps just sit back, relax, and soak up the wonderful atmosphere Caribbean Gardens creates.

The market offers a huge variety of goods ranging from clothing, fresh produce, lollies, plants, art and crafts, household goods, tools, prints, shoes, toys, gift ware, bric-a-brac and a computer section.

Lake Caribbean is surrounded with 100 acres of beautiful gardens. Throughout the picnic grounds are barbecues with free wood supplied and plenty of picnic tables under the shade of beautiful elm, gum and pine trees.

Rides operate every Sunday from 11:00am to 4:00pm and during school holidays also operate on Wednesdays and Fridays (subject to weather conditions). For $6 per ride you can enjoy a Train Ride, Jungle Cruise, game of Mini Golf or a chairlift ride ($8 return). It is a fun and affordable way to entertain the children.

The Caribbean cafe and take-away caters for snacks, light food or a full meal. There is plenty of variety from great coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers and more.

Maroondah Access Gallery

The Maroondah Access Gallery is devoted to showcasing the talents of artists and artist groups with a specific connection to the community. The exhibitions feature opportunities for local creative people to participate in exhibitions supported by Maroondah City Council.

Located in the leafy outer eastern region of Melbourne at Maroondah Federation Estate, the Gallery offers a dynamic range of exhibitions including newly commissioned work, thematic exhibitions and survey shows of major artists. Owned and operated by Maroondah City Council, the Maroondah Art Gallery is home to the R and M McGivern Art Prize. Managed by Maroondah City Council and The Trust Company, this $25,000 acquisitive prize aims to encourage painting in all mediums. Held on a triennial basis, the Prize is open to artists nationally.

Schwerkolt Cottage

Gallery Alta Vista

Bushy Park Wetlands

Bushy Park Wetlands is bounded at the north by a remnant orchard accessed from the eastern end of Highbury Road. The southern boundary, near the pony club at Drummies Bridge Reserve, is accessed from High Street Road.

The park's eastern boundary is Dandenong Creek and its western boundary is formed by residential properties in King Arthur Drive and Knights Drive.

A section of the Dandenong Creek Trail provides vantage points overlooking the scenic wetlands.

Things to see and do
- Try cycling, walking or birdwatching, taking in the native flora and fauna of the area
- Pedestrians and cyclists can travel north along the Dandenong Creek Trail from the eastern end of Jells Park. The trail crosses Pattersons Bridge and passes Shepherds Bush, Napier Park and baseball fields and the Nunawading and District Pony Club, taking in natural parkland
- From nearby Koomba Park visitors can walk or cycle across the new foot bridge over Dandenong Creek, then head south over Burwood Highway and take the trail over the mound to the wetlands.
