Bamurru Plains is located on Swim Creek Station, a coastal buffalo pastoral property near Point Stuart in the Mary River Region. The station is 10 kms from Kakadu’s western boundary. The property is situated just over 100 kms east of Darwin and 100 kms from Jabiru in Kakadu National Park.

Driving Info:
- The property is a 3 hour drive from Darwin (the first hour and three quarters is on sealed tarmac road, the last hour and a quarter is on unsealed public and station roads). Follow the signs to Jabiru/ Kakadu National Park turn left onto the Arnhem Highway. At approximately 76mkm Bark Hut Inn is on your left. Further 18km then turn left at the sign to Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge and Shady Camp. Turn left at the sign to Shady Camp and onto Harold Knowles Road. 2.5km turn off (second sign) to Shady Camp. Continue straight, do not take this turn off to Shady Camp. Continue past cattle grids to gate. If gate is closed, you can open and re-shut the gate. Stop at Swim Creek Station sign for one of our team to meet at agreed time.
- It is recommended to refuel your vehicle at Bark Hut Inn.
- The property is a 2.5 hour drive from Jabiru.
- Guests wishing to self-drive may do so but, as the property is a working buffalo station, guests are required to leave their vehicles at the entrance of the property from where they will be picked up by a staff member for the 20 minute drive back to camp.
- It is recommended to have at least 3 litres of water per person before you start the drive.

- The property is a 20 minute private charter flight from Darwin airport.
- Jabiru is a 20 minute flight away or 2 ½ hours drive. On arrival at Swim Creek Station there is then a 20 minute drive back to the camp. Swim Creek Airstrip does not have adequate lighting to allow landings at night or early morning.
