Taronga Zoo, the Zoo with the view. Located just 12 minutes from the city by ferry, across the world's most spectacular harbour, award winning Taronga Zoo is a Sydney experience not to be missed. From Australia's unique wildlife to exotic animals from around the world, Taronga has it all. Enjoy the amazing Free Flight Bird Show held in the Zoo's amphitheatre overlooking Sydney Harbour. Special photo sessions with our Koalas. Keeper talks, animal shows and feedings throughout the day. Over 2000 rare and endangered animals including Western Lowland Gorillas, Sumatran Tigers, Kodiak Bears, Giraffes, Chimpanzees and many more. Wild Asia is a complete Asian Rainforest with 10 different exhibits.Take the jungle path that appears out of the mists as you meet all manner of forest creatures from the sleepy Binturong to the agile Fishing Cat. Gaze under water into the stream that is home to the magnificently monochromatic Malayan Tapir and the busy oriental Small-Clawed Otter. Wander through Wild Asia's towering aviaries where colourful rainforest birds soar and glide. See the rare Silvery Gibbons swing hand over hand through the trees and glimpse timid Spotted Deer in the dappled shadows of magnificent, historic fig trees. Wild Asia is a 2.4ha rainforest with over 27,000 plants. The area is set along the banks of a forest river that has its source in the high waterfalls and pools before tumbling down to run beside the boardwalk that links all the exhibits. Taronga also offers wonderful close-up experiences with Australia's unique wildlife in the Streets Creatures of the Wollemi exhibit. This amazing bushwalk experience is home to over 200 native animals local to the Blue Mountains. See platypus, echidnas, wallabies, reptiles and birds in the largest walk through aviary in Australasia.

This Tour will introduce you to all the Aussie natives that call Nura Diya home and gives you the opportunity to have all your Australian animal questions answered by your informative guide and get the perfect close up photo opportunity of all of Taronga's Australian native furry friends. Tour duration: 1.5 hours.
