RENTAL PERIOD:
- Rates are calculated on 24 hour
periods (1 day).

- For additional hours, an extra day
will be charged and is payable direct to
Avis by the renter.

RATES:

- Rates are stated in Australian Dollars
and are available at Avis Australia Tour
Program Participating Locations.

- The rate and conditions applied to the
total rental are determined by the date
of rental commencement and the renting
location.

Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF): Included
in rate. Applicable to all rentals.
Administration Fee: Included in rate.
Applicable to all rentals. Fee also
applies to any additional items not
included in the rate which are payable
directly to Avis at time of rental.
Goods & Services Tax (GST): Included in
rate. Also applies to additional items
not included in rate which are payable
directly to Avis at the time of rental.
Premium Location Surcharge (PLS) /
Concession Recovery Fee (CRF): Included
in rate. Fee may also apply to any
additional items which are payable
directly to Avis at time of rental. The
fee varies between locations and may be
calculated at up to 33%.

Rates include unlimited kilometres.

Remote Locations (excluding Northern
Territory/North West Western Australia):
Rates include 100kms per day, excess
kilometre charges at 27.5c per
kilometre.

Northern Territory/North West Western
Australia: Rates include unlimited
kilometres.

Exceptions &#8211; the following remote
and country locations have a limited
kilometre allowance of 100kms per day:

Ceduna, Ceduna Airport, Coober Pedy,
Geraldton Airport, Olympic Dam Airport,
Port Augusta, Port Augusta Airport,
Karratha Airport, Newman, Port Hedland
Airport, Port Hedland, Port Lincoln.

DRIVERS LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Avis Australia will rent to drivers
that present a current drivers licence
and have held that licence for 12
months.

- Avis Australia will not rent to any
person on a Provisional or Probationary
drivers licence.

- If a foreign licence is in a language
other than English, it must be
accompanied by an International Drivers
Permit (containing an English
translation).

COVERAGE OPTIONS:
Loss Damage Waiver:

- Loss Damage Waiver is the coverage
(included in the rates) provided on the
rental vehicle and Third Party Property
which is subject to the excess. Loss
Damage Waiver is subject to terms and
conditions detailed on the rental
agreement.

Standard Accident Excess:

- When an Avis vehicle is involved in an
accident the excess is applicable
providing the vehicle is used in
accordance with the terms and conditions
of the rental agreement and the laws of
the state. Failure to adhere to the
Terms and Conditions and laws of the
state will result in the renter being
responsible for all damage and costs
associated with the vehicle.


Excess Reduction options can be
purchased locally at selected Avis
locations for all car groups as
follows:


Vehicles: CCAR, ICAR, SCAR, FCAR, FVAR,
CFAR, IFAR, FFAR:

Excess - AUD5,445.00 (includes GST,
Admin Fee and Credit Card Surcharge)

Excess Reduction - AUD33.00 per day
reduces excess to AUD605.00 (includes
GST), or

Excess Reduction - AUD44.00 per day
reduces excess to zero ($0) (includes
GST).


Vehicles: PFAR.

Excess - AUD5,760.00 (includes GST,
Admin Fee and Credit Card Surcharge)

Excess Reduction - AUD35.20 per day
reduces excess to AUD1,100.00 (includes

Note: The renter must always pay to Avis
the following costs and fees:
The cost of repairing
any:&#8216;Overhead Damage&#8217; means
damage (excluding hail damage) to the
Vehicle during the Rental Period above
the top of the front and back
windscreens, damage to the box section
of a commercial vehicle above the front
windscreen or damage to third party
property, caused by the Vehicle coming
into contact with anything overhanging
or obstructing its path, objects being
placed on the roof of the Vehicle, or
You or any person standing or sitting on
the roof of the Vehicle;
&#8216;Underbody Damage&#8217; means
damage to the Vehicle during the Rental
Period caused by the Vehicle coming into
contact with anything below the bottom
of the door seal and the bottom of the
front and rear bumper bars where Avis
considers, acting reasonably, that the
driver of the Vehicle is reasonably at
fault for that damage; You driving the
Vehicle in a manner that results in
total or partial inundation or immersion
of the Vehicle in water or exposure of
the Vehicle to salt water (including,
without limitation, damage which occurs
as a result of You driving the Vehicle
through floods, creeks or rivers);
damage to the Vehicle caused by a breach
of clause 3, 4.1, 5.1 or 5.6 of the Avis
Australia Rental Terms and Conditions
(save, in respect of clause 4.1(m), for
minor infractions); damage to a tyre or
an Accessory not attributable to Fair
Wear and Tear that is caused
deliberately or recklessly by You; theft
of the Vehicle, unless You report the
Vehicle as stolen to the police
immediately on becoming aware of the
theft and provide a copy of the police
report to Avis as soon as you receive
it; or loss or damage to Your property,
the property of a member of Your
immediate family or of a person related
to You if that loss or damage is from a
breach of these terms and conditions.
Water damage to the Vehicle Damage to
the Vehicle or to the property of any
third party caused by a breach of the
Rental Agreement.Damage to a tyre or an
Accessory not attributable to normal
wear and tear The cost of any
professional cleaning or odour
extraction incurred by Avis because the
driver or another person has been
smoking in the Vehicle during the Rental
Period and/or a reasonable
administrative fee reflecting the cost
of making arrangements for professional
cleaning or smoke extraction.For the
purposes of paragraphs (a) to (g) above,
any reference to You includes an
Authorised Driver and any person You or
the Authorised Driver allow to drive the
Vehicle

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

- CCAR, ICAR, SCAR and CFAR vehicles -
Minimum 21 years of age.

- FCAR, FVAR, IFAR, FFAR, PFAR - Minimum
25 years of age.

- No maximum age applies.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS:

Additional Driver fees will apply to
each individual additional driver - with
the exception of the lead driver&#8217;s
spouse.

- $5.00 + GST per day, per additional
driver.

- Max charge of $25.00 + GST per
additional driver (5 day max charge).

- It is essential that proof of a valid
driver&#8217;s licence is provided and
that the additional driver signs the
rental agreement.

- The Spouse of the Lead Driver includes
someone (of any gender) they are married
to or in a relationship with.

ONE WAY RENTAL POLICY:
- All one way rentals are &#8216;on
request&#8217; and subject to
availability. &#8216;On request&#8217;
means supply of the requested vehicle is
subject to confirmation by Avis.

- All one way rental requests need to be
submitted to Avis a minimum of 14 days
before the scheduled pick up date.

- One way rental fees are payable in
addition to the rental charges and are
inclusive of GST.

- One way rental fees are payable
directly to Avis at the time of rental.

New South Wales (NSW), Australian
Capital Territory (ACT), Victoria (VIC),
Queensland (QLD), South Australia (SA):

One way rental fees (including GST) are
determined as per the below, when
renting between these States and
Territories: Fees apply to rentals less
than 72 hours (3 days x 24 hours) unless
noted as an exception.

One Way Distance / One Way Rental Fee:

101-200 kilometres         - AUD55.00

201-400 kilometres         - AUD110.00

401-1000 kilometres       - AUD220.00

One Way Rentals into/out of Northern
Territory and Western Australia

- A minimum rental duration of 7 days (7
x 24 hours) applies and a non-waivable
one way fee of AUD1,100.00 including GST
is applicable unless noted as an
exception.

- One way rentals are only permissible
on the following vehicles - FCAR, IFAR,
FFAR and PFAR, provided 'On Request' and
subject to availability.
Note: One way rentals starting in South
Australia travelling into WA or NT are
only permissible for IFAR, FFAR and
PFAR.

- Rentals commencing from specified
airport and downtown locations in QLD,
NSW, ACT, VIC and SA may be driven one
way into the Northern Territory and
Western Australia or vice versa - see
below list of depots.

- One way rentals are also permissible
from Perth, Karratha, Port Hedland,
Broome and Kununurra to and from Darwin,
Alice Springs and Ayers Rock, provided
'on request' and subject to
availability.

One Way Rentals Within Northern
Territory

- A minimum continuous rental duration
of 4 days (4 days x 24 hours/ 96 hours)
is applicable for one-way rentals
commencing and returning within the
Northern Territory, and a one-way rental
fee of $550.00 (including GST) will
always apply. One-way rentals are
provided 'On Request' and subject to
availability.

One Way Rentals Within Western
Australia

- A minimum continuous rental duration
of 5 days (5 days x 24 hours) is
applicable for one way rentals within
Western Australia and a one way fee will
apply (refer to details below) unless
noted and approved by Avis as an
exception. One way rentals are provided
&#8216;On Request&#8217; and subject to
availability.

day length of rental, and a one way fee
of AUD440.00 including GST will apply.
Limited kilometres of 100kms per day
apply to all rentals starting in Port
Lincoln.

Tasmania

- One way rentals within Tasmania do not
incur a one way fee.

- One way rentals into or out of
Tasmania are not permitted.

- One way rentals are provided &#8216;On
Request&#8217; and subject to
availability.

Perth/Exmouth One Way Special: 01 April
&#8211; 31 October 

- Vehicles rented for 7 days (7 x 24
hours / 168 hours) or more from Perth to
Exmouth/Learmonth within the period 01
April &#8211; 31 October will incur a
one way fee of $440 including GST. 

- Vehicles rented for 7 days (7 x 24
hours / 168 hours) or more from
Exmouth/Learmonth to Perth within the
period 01 April &#8211; 31 October will
incur a one way fee of $440 including
GST. 


Eligible vehicle groups for the
Perth/Exmouth one-way special are: CFAR,
IFAR and PFAR.

All eligible vehicles are provided 'On

RESTRICTED DRIVING ROADS / AREAS:

The below detailed driving restrictions
apply to rentals on Avis Tour Rates.
Should the Avis vehicle be driven over
the restricted roads / areas detailed
below, or on the Rental Agreement,
Coverage options are void. Vehicle hire
is subject to satisfactory road and
weather conditions at all times.

General:

- The Avis vehicle must only be used on
roads that are properly formed and
constructed as sealed, metalled or
gravel roads (unless the vehicle is a 4
wheel drive vehicle).

- All Avis vehicles, including vehicle
groups IFAR & PFAR, cannot be driven on
beaches or through streams, dams, rivers
or floodwaters.

- Avis vehicles rented from Mainland
Australia may not leave the Mainland and
be taken to Tasmania or any other
island.

- A number of roads in Northern
Territory and Western Australia are
access roads to Aboriginal communities
where it is not permissible to drive
without an approved permit.

Queensland:

- Vehicles may not be driven beyond
Chillagoe in a westerly direction.

- Vehicles may not be driven beyond
Normanton in a southerly direction.

- All vehicles may be driven on the main
road to Cooktown. If driven off main
road or north of Cooktown, coverage
options may be void.

- PFAR only may be driven on the coast
road from Cape Tribulation to Cooktown.
If driven north of Cooktown, coverage
options may be void.

- Vehicles may not be driven on the
Birdsville Track.
