The Barron River is located 20 minutes north of cairns and offers a great introduction to white water rafting with a combination of grade 2 and 3 rapids, perfect for first time rafters or anyone wanting a couple of hours of fun. The tour starts with a pickup from one of many central locations before the short drive to our put in point in the spectacular Barron Gorge. Meet the River Guide and fellow paddlers and get fitted with your helmet and life jacket, before receiving a comprehensive safety briefing. When all guests are in the raft, all guests will then receive a further briefing and paddling instructions before its time to hit the white water. Enjoy some easy, fun rapids while you get a feel for the water before tackling the larger grade 3 rapids, including the infamous Rooster Tail.

- Pregnant women are unable to participate in rafting.
- $30 per person Rafting levy is payable on day of travel.
- A medical questionnaire and liability waiver is required to be completed and signed prior to travel. For your safety you will not be permitted to raft if detected under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and in these instances no refund will apply.
