The Tully River is Australia's best white water rafting river with non stop action from the put in to the take out! Tour starts with an early morning pick up from a central location in Cairns, kick back and enjoy the scenery on the 90 minute journey as we pass sugar cane farms and rainforest creeks. On arrival to our Tully base at the Feluga Hotel, you'll have a chance to grab a light breakfast (own expense) before we travel 40 minutes to the top of the Tully Gorge. Meet your River Guide and fellow paddlers and get fitted with a helmet and life jacket before making your way down to the water.
You'll receive a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instructions and warm up on a couple of small rapids prior to hitting the white water! Raft the top section of the river with awesome grade 3 and 4 rapids that are sure to get your adrenalin pumping and heart racing! Half way down the river arriving at your riverside lunch spot, recharge the batteries with a tasty BBQ burger lunch overlooking picturesque Ponytail Falls.
Back on the water, continue rafting the lower section of the Gorge with more excitement and thrills mixed in with some downtime to soak up the spectacular scenery.
Arriving at the take out point, change into dry clothes before heading to the Feluga Hotel for a comfort stop and chance to grab a beverage/snack (own expense) before returning to your pick up point, arriving approximately 6pm.

Important Information:
Valid for 01APR23-31MAR25:
- Pregnant women are unable to participate in rafting.
- AUD30.00 per person Rafting levy is payable on day of travel.
- Children under 13 years are not catered for.
- A medical questionnaire and liability waiver is required to be completed and signed prior to travel. For your safety you will not be permitted to raft if detected under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and in these instances no refund will apply.
- For your safety, you MUST have a competent swimming ability and be able to understand and follow River Guide instructions in English to participate in Tully Classic tours. If there are concerns about your ability understand instructions and communicate with our River Guides, you will not be able to participate in the tour and no refund will be provided.
- Please advise any dietary requirements upon booking Tour options.
- This itinerary may be moved to Tully Rafting pending water release times.
- Tour times will be reconfirmed 24 hours prior to travel.
- Secure footwear such as sandshoes (no thongs) must be worn in the raft.
