Travel across the Tasman Bridge into the Coal River Valley and onto Richmond – a unique and historic town of stone cottages, classic Georgian mansions and home to the oldest Convict built Road Bridge in Australia as well as the oldest operating Catholic Church. Stroll along the picturesque Coal River and through the quaint village. Enjoy browsing the many shops and galleries for unique gifts or souvenirs and enjoy some local produce from one of the many cafes or restaurants. Visit the popular sweet and lolly shop for a treat or perhaps explore the Richmond Gaol (entry at own expense). Then onto Bonorong a wildlife sanctuary and successful breeding site for the unique Tasmanian Devil for your up close encounter. Stroll the grounds and hand feed the other Tasmanian and Australian native animals that roam free.
