The works. The full catastrophe. Everything you hoped for from a wine-based day at a museum, and more. Start the day in the lap of luxury (a place you’ll get pretty used to) with a fast-ferry ride from Hobart in the Posh Pit section (ft. canapés, complimentary beverages, private deck, and fibreglass gorilla). On arrival at Mona you’ll launch into some self-guided roaming of the museum and grounds, before a mid-morning private stroll to the Moorilla vineyard - hosted by one of Moorilla’s wine-nerds - and a comprehensive tasting of their range (Praxis, Muse, Cloth Label) in their deluxe underground wine bunker. Then it’s off to a seasonal, locally sourced lunch in one of Mona’s restaurants (featuring matched Muse and Cloth Label wines), and then an afternoon of further museum-exploration (or on-site bar-hopping, it’s up to you). Once you’re spent, you’ll hop back on the late-afternoon ferry back to Hobart, for further Posh Pit action (more complimentary booze and dessert canapés, if you’ve got any room left) and relaxation. You’ll receive a bottle of Muse or Praxis wine to take home, as well as a 15% discount on any purchases made from the cellar door on the day. ITINERARY: 09:15am, catch the ferry from Hobart to Mona, in the ferry’s fancy Posh Pit 09:45am, arrive at Mona and explore the museum 11:30am, take a private tour of the Moorilla vineyard, including an exclusive tasting of Moorilla’s best wines 02:00pm, enjoy a two-course lunch with wine from Moorilla 03:30pm, continue exploring Mona 05:00pm, return to Hobart on the ferry in the Posh Pit.
