Self-drive to Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge, 30 mins from the Katherine Township (30km drive). Meet at the Nitmiluk Boat Jetty (400m walk from the Nitmiluk Visitors Centre), 30 mins prior to your tour departure.
The Malapparr Traveller is about leisure! It is suitable for inexperienced canoeists or for a family outing. A boat transfer will take you to the top of the first gorge, allowing you to take to the waters from the second gorge! Take advantage of the shallow swimming sections to cool off or even find a nice place for a picnic. We recommend taking plenty of food and water with you! If you wanted to take a less leisurely pace, canoeist may reach the end of the third gorge. Manual portage between the gorges is required, high fitness level needed.

- Boat departure is from the Nitmiluk Boat Ramp (400m walk from the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre).
- Sign in opens 30 minutes prior and closes 15mins prior to departure.
- Canoe hire commences from the start of the second gorge.
- The boat departs at 8am for the AM Session, and 1pm for the PM Session.
