Itinerary:

Valid for 01APR23-31MAR25:Just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne are the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, part of the Great Dividing mountain range that runs the entire length of east coast Australia.

The Dandenongs are the home of “Puffing Billy.” Operating since 1900, this fully restored steam engine is Australia’s oldest surviving and most famous steam train.

With lush fern gullies brushing past, and Mountain Ash towering overhead, Puffing Billy makes for a fun experience that all ages will enjoy – breathing in the fresh mountain air whilst the train winds its way through the temperate rainforest.

Journeying through the quaint townships nestled against magical tree ferns, we’ll make our way down from the Dandenongs to the nearby Yarra Valley for a delicious lunch in a beautiful winery setting.

Get up close to some native Australian animals at Healesville Sanctuary. Home to over 200 species of animals set in natural bushland, the sanctuary is a beautiful tribute to Australia’s remarkable fauna and often the highlight of any visit to Victoria. Enter one of the enclosures led by a ranger for a special close-up encounter with a furry native, allowing you a truly fantastic photo opportunity. A final stop before returning to Melbourne will be the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice-Creamery. Indulge in some locally made treats and see the chocolatiers crafting sweet delights. Discover the uniquely Australian flavours infused into the amazing variety of chocolate – it will be too hard to resist!
