Booking requirements:
- Passengers first names are to be provided at time of booking.
- Guests mobile phone number to be provided at time of booking.
Luggage:
- Guests must comply with the relevant luggage requirements listed.
Travel Insurance:
- Travel insurance is highly recommended. Rail journeys go through remote Australian regions, which sometimes result in severe weather events, flash flooding, bushfires and remote location medical evacuations.
Fit to Travel:
- You must ensure that you are medically and physically fit for travel. Before you confirm your booking, you must advise of any medical or physical condition that will or may require medical attention, medication, or special treatment during your rail journey. You may also be asked to complete a health questionnaire. If a guest has a condition that may significantly affect the enjoyment, health or safety of themselves or any other person on board, booking may be refused or cancelled.
Check in:
- You must check in at the location stated on your travel documents no more than 2.5 hours and no later than 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure. You must show suitable photo identification on check in.
Dangerous Goods:
- Your luggage must not contain any items which are dangerous, illegal, liable to harm or annoy other guests or otherwise unsuitable. Animals are not permitted onboard (except assistance animals).
No Smoking Policy:
- All trains are entirely smoke free in accordance with relevant state government regulations. Guests are not to smoke (including e-cigarettes) on the train.
Searches:
- If Journey Beyond has reasonable cause to believe that a guest is carrying a prohibited item, an authorised representative may, subject to applicable laws, search of inspect the guest's luggage.
Off Train Excursions and Experiences:
- Excursions may be cancelled or modified due to inclement weather, train scheduling or other circumstances. There are no refunds for any such cancellations or modifications.

- Luggage check in opens 2.5 hours before departure and closes 60 mins prior to departure.
Bedding Configuration (subject to availability):
- 1 upper Single sleeping berth and 1 lower Single sleeping berth (converts to a 3 seater lounge).

Accommodation:
- Well appointed day and overnight Cabin accommodation.
- Twin cabins feature a 3 seater lounge converting to upper and lower sleeping berths plus ensuite facilities with toilet, washbasin and shower.
- Complimentary toiletries are provided.
- The cabins are fully serviced by carriage attendants with fresh sheets, pillows and continental quilts.
- Cabins feature 3 pin/ 240 volt power outlets.
- In-cabin music channels and journey audio commentary are available.
Lounge:
- The relaxed setting of the Outback Explorer Lounge offers a place to socialise and meet fellow travellers from all corners of the world or sit back and enjoy the passing parade of Australian landscapes.
- The Lounge has a licensed bar and is the ideal place to gather for a drink before dinner or for a game of cards and a nightcap with new friends.
Dining:
- The Queen Adelaide Restaurant is open to all Gold Service guests for breakfast, two course lunch and three course dinner.
- All meals are included in the Gold Service fare.
- All inclusive Australian wines, beers, base spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Vegetarian, children and some special dietary meals can be accommodated.
Off Train Excursions:
- Stop in Broken Hill, Adelaide, Cook and Nullarbor.
- Enjoy either extended touring options or step off the train to immerse yourself in some of Australia's most remote outback settings.
