Wander beneath the world's tallest hardwood trees, visit some Tasmanian Devils, see beautiful Russell Falls and take in the view from Mt Wellington - the Ultimate Tasmanian experience. Russell Falls is easily Tasmania's most recognisable waterfall with its 3 tiered drop. It is an easy and enjoyable walk along a beautiful track that takes you to this photogenic waterfall and beyond to Horseshoe Falls. Make your way along the Tall Trees Track where high above you stand the giant Swamp Gums 80 metres tall.

This is a series of short, spectacular walks amongst the cool and quiet rainforest, eucalypts, streams and local wildlife. Further up into the National Park join the Pandani Grove Trail that takes you around the alpine Lake Dobson. Soak up the wilderness and surrounding mountain air in this lesser visited region of the park. Lake Dobson is often covered in a layer of ice and surrounded with snow in the winter months. The vegetation dates back to Gondwanaland days giving this area an enchanting and ancient feel.

Enjoy a lunch break in one of the numerous beautiful settings at Mt.Field before continuing onwards. Visit Bonorong Wildlife Park which is home to many rescued and well loved wildlife. See Tassie Devils close up, wallabies are freely hopping around the park and many more of the local favourites are easily discovered here. To top off this very Tasmanian day you head to the summit of kunanyi/Mt.Wellington (1271m) Hobart's iconic mountain backdrop. The views from the top are breathtaking and the vista is expansive. This is a fantastic way to end a day exploring many of Tassie's most unique and noteworthy experiences, rainforests, waterfalls, wildlife and fabulous scenery. Return to your Hobart City accommodation around 05:30pm - 06:00pm.~~~~

Soak up Tasmania’s pure and wild nature in a day of rainforest walks, picturesque waterfalls, wildlife and misty mountaintops. Description: Mount Field is one of Tasmania’s oldest National Parks, and surely the prettiest. Only 1.5 hours from Hobart, this natural wonderland features lush temperate rainforest, moody alpine moorland and cascading waterfalls. It’s a place of serenity and great short walks – and there are plenty on the agenda. The Three Falls Circuit takes us to iconic Russell Falls, where water pours over rock in three perfect tiers. Pushing on through dappled light and ferns glades to reach the peaceful Horseshoe Falls, before joining the Tall Trees Trail where towering Swamp Gums stretch over 80 metres into the sky. From here our keen walkers can continue to Lady Barron Falls to complete the loop. Next up is Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary where you’ll meet all kinds of native wildlife. Learn about Tasmania’s rare and precious fauna during an informative wildlife tour conducted by the expert staff at Bonorong. Our final stop is the summit of kunyani/Mount Wellington, standing proud behind Hobart at 1271 metres above sea level. If your eyes aren’t watering from the icy air, they will be from the sweeping views. See the entire city, surrounding mountains and Derwent river system sparkling at your feet.
