The Tully River is Australia's best white water rafting river with non stop action from the put in to the take out! Tour starts with a morning pick up from a central location in Mission Beach, kick back and enjoy the scenery on the 30 minute drive to our Tully base. On arrival to the Feluga Hotel, you'll have a chance to grab a light breakfast (optional, own expense) before travelling 40 minutes to the top of the Tully Gorge.
Meet your River Guide and fellow paddlers and get fitted with a helmet and life jacket before making your way down to the water.
You'll receive a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instructions and warm up on a couple of small rapids prior to hitting the white water! Raft the top section of the river with awesome grade 3 and 4 rapids that are sure to get your adrenalin pumping and heart racing! Half way down the river arriving at our riverside lunch spot, recharge the batteries with a tasty BBQ burger lunch overlooking picturesque Ponytail Falls.
Back on the water, continue rafting the lower section of the Gorge with more excitement and thrills mixed in with some downtime to soak up the spectacular scenery.
Arriving at the take out point, change into dry clothes before heading to the Feluga Hotel for a comfort stop and chance to grab a beverage/snack (own expense) before returning to your pick up point.~~~~ |
