An Australian Luxury Escapes vehicle will pick you up from your hotel to commence a full day Blue Mountains tour plus guided hike. Departing the city at 7:30am this morning your personalised guide will start the day by showing you the historical Rocks precinct. The birth place of Australia has a fascinating past and you will see convict built cottages, Australia’s first church and remnants of how Australia was shaped as a nation. Afterwards we travel north across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Australia’s shortest freeway. Our first stop today is Featherdale, this unique park gives visitors the opportunity to discovery over three hundred different varieties of unique Australian wildlife. The park originally started out with humble beginnings as a poultry farm and over time the owner’s son developed it into a nursery and wildlife park in the late seventies. Beautiful Australian native plants and trees line the walkways of Featherdale as a legacy of the parks history. We continue west towards the Blue Mountains National Park. We enter a little known hidden clearing to enjoy some home style morning tea. You will have time to roam the area and seek out the wild kangaroos and birdlife that frequents this part of the National Park. Our next is Kings Tableland. This breathtaking view looks out over the Jamison Valley. Enjoy a lunch of local cuisine and local wine in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Afterwards, you will meet your professional guide for an informative 1.5 hours hike to the famous 3 Sisters Rock Formation. Passing through 3 different eco systems you will gain an in depth understanding of the geography, flora and fauna of this world heritage listed area. Your guide will be waiting to collect you at the end of your walk. Reboarding your vehicle we continue east towards Sydney. Continuing west now your first stop is at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Arriving early means beating the crowds and allowing you to get up close and personal with kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and wombats. You will love these amazing animals. Reboarding the vehicle continue west towards the Blue Mountains National Park. Enter a little known hidden clearing to enjoy some home style morning tea. You will have time to roam the area and seek out the wild kangaroos and birdlife that frequents this part of the National Park. Next is the breathtaking views over the Jamison Valley at Kings Tableland. Lunch today is at one of Australia’s most iconic historical hotels, with views of the Megalong Valley whilst indulging in local cuisine and sipping on a glass of beer, wine, or soft drink. After lunch we skirt around cliff drive towards the famous 3 sisters rock formation, where you will meet your guide and embark on your 1.5 hour hike. Spend time gaining an in depth understanding of the geography, flora and fauna of this world heritage listed area before being met by your Australian Luxury Escapes guide and reboarding your vehicle.
