They will provide you with fascinating facts about the island's history, fauna and flora while you visit and explore some of the most beautiful sites K’gari has to offer and all in air-conditioned comfort. Central Station - now a tourist stop in the middle of K’gari, this historical site used to be a bustling logging station that housed schools and shops. Wanggoolba Creek - stroll along the boardwalk to discover ancient King ferns and look up in amazement at the lush subtropical rainforest canopy. Lake McKenzie – relax on K’gari’s sandy white beaches or take a dip in its crystal clear blue waters, picture perfect is the best way to describe islands most photographed lake. 75 Mile Beach - drive down K’gari’s own highway and keep an eye out for dingoes as well as Air Fraser, taking off and landing right on the beach. You can take this scenic flight as an optional extra and see the island from a birds-eye view. Eli Creek - wade or float down this fast moving stream, straight to the Coral Sea or just sit-back and unwind on the sandy banks. Maheno Shipwreck – stretch your legs and imagine the grandeur of a bygone passenger liner, washed ashore in 1935 that has been reduced to a magnificent rusting wreck. The Pinnacles Coloured Sands – stop to take a picture of these heavenly dunes and hear the Dreamtime story of how these hued sand cliffs where formed. Your tour departs K’gari at approximately 4.30pm on the barge, arriving back in Rainbow Beach between 5.00pm and 5.30pm to drop you off to your accommodation~~~~

On this adventurous day out, you'll drive across sand tracks to explore some of the most beautiful, natural spots and listen to fascinating facts about the island's history, flora and fauna. Custom-designed 4WD coaches are air conditioned for your comfort and fitted with panoramic windows.

Lake McKenzie (Boorangoora):

K’gari’s most iconic, picture-perfect swimming spot! Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear blue fresh water and relax on the sandy white beaches.

Central Station:

A former logging station that housed schools and shops for the bustling timber industry is now a tourist stop. Stroll along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk to discover the ancient King Ferns, towering Flooded Gums and Pine trees.

Pile Valley:

Wander through the subtropical rainforest and marvel at the centuries-old Satinay trees and towering palms.

75 Mile Beach:

As you travel along this golden beach highway, you may spot dingoes, birds of prey flying above, or humpback whales, migrating down the coast (between July – October).

Eli Creek:

Float gently down this tranquil, tree-lined creek with four million litres of fresh water flowing into the Pacific Ocean every hour.

Maheno Shipwreck:

Marvel at the rustic wreck of the Maheno, which washed ashore during an out-of-season cyclone in 1935. It’s one of K’gari’s most recognisable sites.

The Pinnacles Coloured Sands:

Learn about these radiant, cliff-like sand formations and the Indigenous Dreamtime stories that surround them. Get up close and experience the spectacular 72 shades of rare red, orange and yellow sands. At the end of the day, you’ll return to Hervey Bay by approximately 6:00pm (courtesy drop-offs to select locations).~~~~
