Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay midway up Tasmania's east coast, Freycinet Peninsula lies on the 42nd degree latitude line, experiencing a climate similar to southern France. The area enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine every year, and is famous for its local wineries, fresh farm produce and freshly caught seafood. Freycinet Lodge successfully integrates superb accommodation with the natural environment. Cabins range from two-room family cabins to spa suites. Freycinet is just a pleasant two and a half hours drive south of Launceston along the Midlands Highway (A1), or north of Hobart up the East Coast.

From Launceston, take the Heritage Hwy (A1) to Campbell Town, turn left onto the Lake Leake Hwy (B34) and then left again onto the Tasman Hwy (A3). About 15-20 minutes past the junction turn right onto Coles Bay Road (C302). Travel through Coles Bay township to reach the entrance to Freycinet National Park. The entrance fee is AUD24.00 per car for a day pass (2011). Once inside the national park, Freycinet Lodge is a further 2 km on the right hand side.

From Hobart, Freycinet Lodge is just 2 1/2 hour drive along the scenic Tasman Hwy (A3), through Sorell (or Richmond), Triabunna and Swansea. About 20-30 minutes past Swansea, turn right onto Coles Bay Road (C302). Travel through Coles Bay township to reach the entrance to Freycinet National Park. The entrance fee is AUD10.00 per car for a day pass. Once inside the national park, Freycinet Lodge is a further 2 km on the right hand side.

Important Information:

Valid for 01APR17-31MAR19: - Freycinet Lodge is located within Freycinet National Pack and guests will require a National Park Pass which can be purchased at the lodge or at the visitor centre.
Valid for 19JUL17-30APR18: - Freycinet Lodge is undergoing a refurbishment which is expected to be completed by 30 April 2018. Soft furnishings like carpet and some fittings will be done ahead of Christmas 2017. Part of the site will be inaccessible however, this area is not where guests would generally walk unless their cabin is located there, and there will be some fencing around this area. Dismantling of cabins is currently taking place. No heave equipment, with the exception of trolleying the modules into the site by hand, the absolute majority of works are indoors (inside the new pods). Works will take place Monday to Friday between 09.00am and 5.00pm. Any disruptive work will take place after hours once dining has finished and the lodge is clear of guests.
