To Self-drive fuel up your vehicle and grab any supplies you may need for your adventure to the Daintree.
The Spectacular Coastal Road is Best enjoyed in Daylight Hours and takes a good 3 hours from the Cairns Airport - so give your self plenty of time to enjoy and remember to allow the same travel time for your return journey.
Follow the Captain Cook Hwy North from Cairns toward Port Douglas ond then on to the Sugar cane town of Mossman where you can grab any supplies and goodies that you may need for your stay.
Keep travelling North and Follow the Signs to the Daintree River Ferry.
*NOTE: You will need to purchase a Ferry Pass and there are multiple options to suit your needs. One Way, Return Or a Multi-Pass.
Ferry Operating Hours are from 5am - Midninght Monday - Sunday
*Easter/Christmas Day Limited Hours Contact Douglas Shire Council for Accurate Schedules on these days.
We are Located a 20 min Drive North of the ferry after the Daintree Discovery Centre at the Bottom of the Range on the Right hand side.
For Late arrivals - there are no street lights at night and it can get quite dark.
Use the Phone located at the Reception Entrance to call if Office is unattended.
