Quamby Homestead

Situated on a 150 acres of countryside near Launceston, Quamby Homestead is an enchanting country manor and one of Tasmania's most historically significant properties. Dating back to the 'late 1820's, the property was the ancestral home of the States first-born Premier, Sir Richard Dry and known as the Government House of the North.

Lovingly restored, Quamby's charming Anglo-Indian designed architecture, period antiques and marble fireplaces combine modern luxuries to offer complete tranquillity. The magnificent homestead features ten restored guest rooms, entertaining and relaxing areas, sitting rooms an English-style bar with fireplace and on-site dining room where local produce is featured at dinner.
