Sails Motor Lodge is a modern 4 and a half star rated hotel located opposite of the main swimming beach on the lake shore. Walk along the lake front to Taupo's town centre and harbour, which boasts a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, shops and access to major attractions. There are stunning lake and mountain views from most of the apartments.

Approaching Taupo from the north, travel along the lake front 1.5km. Just south of Taupo shopping centre, the hotel is on the main road, just after Pataka street. Approaching Taupo from the south, the hotel is approximately 2 minutes after the Taupo-Napier Highway turn-off.
