Driving Info:

- From Cairns via the Kennedy Highway and Gulf Development Road approximately 780km with only approx. 50km single lane bitumen. Travelling through Mt Garnet, Mt Surprise, Georgetown, Croydon, Normanton to Karumba.


- You can also drive from Charters Towers - Greenvale direction to the 40 Mile Scrub and join the Gulf Development Road out through Mt Surprise. From Mt Isa approximately 550km on fully sealed bitumen road. From Burketown via the Savannah Way - some dirt and some bitumen.
